	Lionel 255E 2-4-2 Tinplate Steam Loco Here is a Lionel 255E 2-4-2 Gun-Metal Steam Locomotive and 2263W Gun-Metal Tender from 1935-36. The locomotive motor and 3-position E-unit have been tested and work fine. The headlight works as well. It has a red fire box glow light, full set of driving rods, shiny nickel handrails, steam domes, stack and trim. The tender has Type IX-A 6- wheel stamped metal trucks with nickel journals and a rear box coupler. The tender's whistle sounds loud and clear. The gun-metal finish on both engine and tender still shines, but there are rust spots on the right side of the boiler and cab. (see picture) Overall condition is Very Good without the boxes.
